Antigua and Barbuda to celebrate Tourism Week 2024 with exciting activities and events

Antigua and Barbuda is all set to celebrate Tourism Week 2024 with an exciting week of activities and events. The celebration will be conducted from 17th to 24th November, 2024, in order to acknowledge the importance of tourism and its role in the development of the nation.

The Tourism Week 2024 will be celebrated under the theme, “Our Cruise Sector: Realizing the Benefits and Embracing Sustainability for the Future.” This theme highlights the vision of the authorities of Antigua and Barbuda towards welcoming 432 calls this season 2024-2025, aiming to mark a huge increase in cruise traffic.

The authorities said that they are committed to promote their cruise season with the main motive of attracting a large number of tourists to the shores of the country. They appreciated the cruise tourism and shed light on its role in boosting the tourism sector and enhancing the vibrant culture and traditions of the island nation.

Recently, Antigua and Barbuda registered a busy cruise day as they welcomed four vessels on Tuesday, 12th November, 2024 to the shores of the country. The ships brought more than 9000 passengers to the island nation, which shed light on the growing appeal of Antigua and Barbuda as a premier destination among travellers.

The vessels that were docked at the shores of the country included, Rotterdam (VII), Nautica, MSC Magnifica, and Britannia. The Tourism Authority thanked all the passengers that were on the ships for choosing Antigua and Barbuda as a part of their cruise journey.

The authorities have also aimed at welcoming more cruises to the country. They have ensured to offer a wonderful stay to all the passengers, filled with unforgettable memories.

The Ministry of Tourism of Antigua and Barbuda emphasized on the Tourism Week 2024 and aimed at acknowledging the contribution of the authorities towards enhancing the development of the twin-island nation. They said that they are committed to enhance all their facilities with their main motive of making the experience of all their visitors comfortable and memorable.

All these activities planned for Tourism Week 2024 will not only attract a large number of tourists but will also celebrate the countless efforts undertaken by the tourism authority towards bringing sustainable growth in the island nation.
