Tourism Week to be celebrated in Antigua and Barbuda from Sunday, 3rd December to Saturday, 9th December 2023. The nation is all set to celebrate Tourism Week with their tourism partners.
The theme under which Tourism Week 2023 of Antigua and Barbuda will be celebrated is: Carving a path to Sustainability through an Empowered Labour Force.
The schedule of the events for the Tourism Week 2023:
Sunday, 3rd December: The day will begin with A Church Service at the Holy Family Cathedral and the event will be followed by the 1st ODI Cricket match between West Indies and England. The match will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.
Monday, 4th December: Charles Fernandez, the tourism minister will visit the colleges of the nation. He will share his views on Junior Chef Cook-Off Finals and The Minister Speaks College Tour.
Tuesday, 5th December: This day will celebrate the Tourism Wellness Day (Socarobics) at the Ministry of Tourism Parking Lot at 5:00 pm. The celebration of this day signifies the need of promoting a healthy lifestyle amongst the nation’s citizens.
Wednesday, 6th December: The day will offer a Tourism blast off. The fans will witness the second ODI Cricket match between West Indies and England. The 2nd match of the series will also be played at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.
Thursday, 7th December: The conference will take place on this day. The conference will be conducted on Tourism Labour at Sir Johne St. Luce Conference Centre. The meeting will begin at 8:30 am.
Friday, 8th December: This day will offer a plethora of activities as the day will celebrate Tourism Staff Fun Day. The fun day will be celebrated at Ffryes Beach at 8:30 am. This day will offer its tourists with the greatest source of entertainment including sports, games etc.
Saturday, 9th December: The final day of Tourism Week 2023 will organize the Tourism Awards Gala at Casa Palmadita at 7:00 pm. The award ceremony will acknowledge the tourism industry and its excellent work. The award ceremony will be celebrated under the theme, Diamonds: The Crowned Gems.
The nominees have been shortlisted for the Tourism Industry Awards. Many people have been nominated in different categories. The nominations are selected on the basis of the outstanding achievements the candidate has made in the Tourism Industry.
All in all, Antigua and Barbuda’s Tourism Week is a great platform for attracting tourists and showcasing the best facilities available in terms of accommodation, air travel and cruise lines. It will also offer its visitors numerous activities.
