St Lucia: As of February 15, 2022, Monday, the nation reported 92 new cases of COVID-19, according to the statics shared by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs. The samples were collected between February 12 and February 14; of total samples, around 27.63 percent have tested positive for the virus.
Around 333 samples were collected on the previous day; of these, 274 were from the Ezra Long Laboratory, remaining 59 were from the Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited.
Since the pandemic began, the nation has reported around 22,269 COVID-19 cases.
According to the official data, around 219 people have been recovered from the virus and were discharged. The total number of recovered patients was 20,225.
To date, the number of active cases in the country is 1,328
There are around 26 patients admitted to the hospital because of the virus; of these, none is critically ill or severely sick, seeking treatment in intensive care.
Till now, the number of deaths reported in the nation is around 353, of which 267 are due to COVID, and 86 are COVID-related. However, the ministry of health has reported four new COVID-19 death; of these, one was COVID-19 death and three were COVID-19 related deaths.
In St Lucia, as many as 51,868 people have been fully vaccinated, and around 5,791 are partially vaccinated. More than 6,577 people have received the booster shot.
For now, the island country has been giving three vaccines against COVID-19, BioNTech, Pfizer vaccine; Johnson & Johnson vaccine; and Oxford, AstraZeneca vaccine. As of February 13, the number of people who received 1st Dose AstraZeneca Vaccination is 37,705, and 2nd Dose Vaccination is 34,491. Whereas, 1st Dose of Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccination is administrated by 19,723, and 17,125 people have administrated 2nd dose.
The vaccination will resume from 9 am to 4 pm at the Vigie Sports Complex and the St Anthony’s Medical Centre and Dennery Mothers’ on February 16, 2022.
