32 new active cases of COVID-19 have been reported in St Kitts and Nevis

St Kitts and Nevis have been reporting 123 active cases of COVID-19, out of which 32 cases were reported in the last 24 hrs. This was reported by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Hazel Laws.
The total number of active cases till now from the start of this pandemic in the country on March 24 2020, has touched 187 with 64 digits of recovered patients and with 0 deaths.
Law said that yesterday, Friday, June 11, 32 test results turned positive again. On Wednesday, June 09, 11 results turned positive again. On Thursday, June 10, 25 results turned positive again. At the present time, St Kitts and Nevis announced 187 confirmed cases of COVID-19, out of which Nevis has 14 cases, St Kitts 173.
Laws said that Before this wave, they had 45 cases that recovered, 19 out of that wave had recovered now a total of 64 cases had fully recovered. All 14 cases reported in Nevis retrieved in 2020.
The Chief Medical Officer said that since the current COVID-19 wave started on May 19, 142 cases were recognized.
Dr Hazel Laws said that goal is to mitigate the spread of the virus to lower the daily numbers of cases. So not to confuse the health system.
Dr Hazel Laws also added that the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis had been impacted by a COVID-19 pandemic. The overall purpose has to flatten the graphs and keep the total number of persons affected to the lowest. The Ministry of Health continues its strong contact tracing process, they continue to identify cases, they are placed in isolation, their contacts are placed in quarantine.
She added that at the present moment, there are 4 numbers of individuals hospitalized patient affected with the COVID-19 virus, out of them, 3 of them are stable, while one person is undergoing moderate effects of COVID-19 disease.
