Trinidad and Tobago: PM Rowley to visit Washington DC on April 24

Trinidad and Tobago: Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for Diego Martin West – Dr Keith Rowley would depart for Washington, DC on April 24, 2022 (Sunday).

As per the Government source, PM Rowley will engage in a number of meetings aimed at progressing the interests of Trinidad and Tobago.

Prime Minister would be accompanied by the Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young.

Minister of Finance Colm Imbert will handle Trinidad and Tobago until Dr Rowley’s return to the country.

Earlier, PM Rowley was on tour to Barbados. During his visit, he interacted with Prime Minister of Barbados – Mia Amor Mottley, US Senator Chris Dodd and US Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), and the US House Committee chairwoman.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley also joined other CARICOM leaders at the roundtable discussion on De-Risking and Correspondent Banking in Bridgetown, Barbados, on April 20, 2022.

The event is being chaired by the PM of Barbados, Mia Mottley and Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), Chairwoman of the US House Committee on Financial Services.

During the roundtable discussion, Prime Minister Rowley called for greater cooperation between American and Caribbean Banks.
