Trinidad and Tobago: CIRC’s Traditional Mas Character Master Tutor Workshops launched on Feb 7
Carnival Institute and Regional Carnival (CIRC) of Trinidad and Tobago shared a glimpse of the launching ceremony of the Traditional Mas Character Master Tutor Workshops.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: Carnival Institute and Regional Carnival (CIRC) shared a glimpse of the launching ceremony of the Traditional Mas Character Master Tutor Workshops. The event has been organised by CIRC in collaboration with Republic Bank Limited.
The post by the Carnival Institute of Trinidad and Tobago stated, “On February 7, 2023, was the launch of the Carnival Institute and Regional Carnival’s (CIRC)’s Traditional Mas Character Master Tutor Workshops in collaboration with their valued sponsor Republic Bank Limited.”
CIRC also informed that this collaboration which was held at Trinbago Unified Calypsonian’s Organization (TUCO) Kaiso House Tent, forms part of a greater mission on the road to the growth of culture in the sphere of Traditional mas.
This event allowed the traditional mas product to have additional hype to be built around it and increase awareness of the traditions of Carnival that are being taught in the area of Pierrot Grenade, Wire bending, King Sailor and Spoken word, according to the Carnival Institute and Regional Carnival.
Along with this, the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation {TUCO} wishes to announce the names of persons that will be performing at our Extempo and Freestyle Competition Final “KAISORAMA”. This event will take place at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah, on Thursday, February 16 2023, commencing at 7:30 PM.
Additionally, it stated that the seven (7) Extempo finalists would be competing against the Reigning Extempo Monarch, Brian London, in an attempt to dethrone him.
TUCO also informed that the Freestyle Competition is a new feature of the Kaisorama event, which attracted fifteen (15) participants. Eight (8) persons have now advanced to the final, where crowd response will assist in determining the winner.
