Trinidad and Tobago: The Ministry of Health, Trinidad and Tobago, by considering the holiday season, alerts the public through social media on December 21, 2023 (Friday) regarding the buying of outside food for better health.
The health ministry highlighted the need to do such by adding that unsafe food can cause sickness and food poisoning, it is very necessary to invest in health to foster well-being. Also, the ministry mentioned that one should remember the following before buying:
- All food handlers should have a valid food handler badge prominently displayed at all times.
- Foods must be kept at the right temperatures.
- Hot food must be kept and served hot, however the food which requires refrigeration should be kept in the refrigerator.
- One should avoid buying from unsanitary premises by keeping a check on the surroundings.
Such information fosters public health and even reveals the commitment of the government of the country towards the well-being of the citizens. The Ministry is so committed towards promoting better health in the region.
In this concern, the ministry even shares a regular post and importantly, a few days ago, it featured some of the tips to drink more water. This even casted light on the significance of staying hydrated.
Considerably, the tips mentioned the tracking of the count of glasses for adequate water intake. Also, it recommended the intake of 8 to 10 glasses of water per day and a glass should be at least 250 ml. Moreover, it mentioned that one should carry his or her water bottle when in the office or on the go.
Interestingly, one can even set alarms on the phone for timely water consumption.
Probing ahead, drinking the sufficient amount of water helps in many ways by boosting skin health, maintaining blood pressure, maintaining kidney health, boosting performance during exercise and helping in digestion.
As it is widely known that water is a life blood, the benefits it provides to the body and health evidently prove its worth.
