Trinidad and Tobago: 25 COVID patients lost their lives in past 24 hrs

Trinidad and Tobago: A total of 898 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded on December 10, 2021, along with 25 additional deaths, the data in the COVID-19 update report states by the Ministry of Health.     

With the arrival of these additional cases, the toll of active cases rose to 13,866 while the current death toll stands at 2,361. As per the report, till December 10, 2021, in total, 63,010 individuals recovered from the contagious mutant, whereas 495 patients are still in the hospital facilities.

Around 159 individuals are in the step-down facilities, 98 in the state-quarantine facilities, and 12,314 citizens have isolated themselves at their respective residences.   

Since the emergence of the pandemic in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 79,237 confirmed cases have been recorded, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report.     

Till now, 470,218 COVID-19 tests have been conducted at both private and public facilities, out of which 203,255 tests were conducted at private healthcare facilities.     

According to the statistics of the COVID vaccination report, there are a total of 652,020 citizens who are vaccinated by taking atleast one dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine. On the other hand, in total, 653,077 residents have received their required number of the COVID-19 jabs and are now fully inoculated against the deadliest virus.    

The Ministry of Health further asked the citizens to take their jabs of the COVID-19 Vaccine and strictly follow the COVID-19 health protocols that have been established by the government of Trinidad and Tobago.    

The Caribbean island is observing a continuous massive increase in the daily COVID-19 infections, to which the government has stringent measures.
