Glenny Phillip, the 34-year-old man from St Kitts, met his lady love Lucy Downes, a British woman, on Tik Tok. Despite the baseless allegations, being questioned, and trolled by the netizens, the couple has successfully overcome all the challenges and is planning to get married this upcoming November.
As per the details, Lucy is a mother of two, who after getting divorced decided to use TikTok for an entertainment purpose. During her time on the platform, she noticed Glenny popping up on her live streams. It resulted in creating casual interactions between the two, exchanging of numbers and messages, that marked the beginning of their love life.
The couple faced several challenges in their relation, as living in two different countries created several obstacles in their way of love and togetherness. In fact, some citizens accused Glenny of using Lucy just for the “Green Card.”
However, Lucy always supported her partner and made it clear to the world that her love is genuine and unwavering.
According to the information, the couple had to wait a year before meeting in person as Lucy was living with her ex. Finally, after selling their shared home, Glenny flew to the UK for the first time and met her lady love.
“When Glenny came out—it’s so hard to describe how I felt,” Lucy recalled. “It was so real from the first day—we were so honest with each other.”
During his visit to the UK, Glenny stayed there for six months and interacted with both the children of Lucy. Following that, the couple decided to return to St Kitts together, where Glenny took Lucy out for a dinner and proposed to his love of life by getting down on one knee, surrounding with friends, carrying love hearts and roses.
He asked Lucy to marry him and she was overjoyed, bustling with happiness, as she replied by saying “yes” to the question.
However, the couple faced another 10 months apart when Glenny was applying for the Fiancé visa but the duo finally reunited together in August 2024, planning to get married soon. After their marriage, the couple is planning to apply for the spousal visa for Glenny in order to shift to UK.
This process would cost around £5,000 but the couple still remains adamant to bear all the financial and emotional challenges to ensure their love triumphs.
While some citizens are definitely accusing the couple and making allegations regarding the Green Card, there are few people who are extending wishes to them and calling their love story, “a perfect one.”
