Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The Tourism Authority of St Kitts and Nevis recently welcomed the inaugural InterCaribbean Airways flight to St Kitts on March 12, 2023, at R. L. Bradshaw International Airport. The update regarding the same was shared by the Kittitian Heartbeat on their social media platform, informing, “The St Kitts Tourism Authority hosted a special welcome ceremony to celebrate the inaugural flight of interCaribbean Airways to St Kitts.”
As per the update, the ceremony honoured the newly established partnership between InterCaribbean and St Kitts, which will tremendously assist with making the destination more accessible within the region than ever before.
It is much anticipated that these new flights will provide a boost to tourism during the season of fun activities. “This new offering is set to increase the number of regional travellers to the Federation, which will positively impact the destination’s Summer of Fun activities, namely, the St Kitts Music Festival, Nevis Mango Festival, Restaurant Week, Culturama, CPL T20, and the newly introduced Kittitian RumMaster Program,” the post read.
The InterCaribbean Airline will bring with it a whole new level of convenience and accessibility to the beautiful island. InterCaribbean will service St Kitts from Barbados three times weekly on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays with one-stop connectivity to the islands of Grenada, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Dominica and Guyana.
This exciting new development is set to transform the travel landscape in the Federation as more and more visitors from the neighbouring islands will be able to experience the island’s vibrant culture, stunning beaches and rich history with ease.
But that’s not all – this fantastic new offering is set to have an impact on the island’s Summer of Fun activities, particularly the St Kitts Music Festival (June 22 to 24th, 2023). With more regional travellers flocking to the island, this year’s festival will be an experience like no other.
