Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of the twin-island Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, a shared glimpse of the kite-making ceremony organised in constituency 8, St Peter’s. The minister has informed that he was engaged in interaction with the elderly of the constituency and enjoyed all various fun activities. The Prime Minister hosted the event on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 (Tuesday).
The Prime Minister of the Federation, Dr Drew, took it to social media and expressed his pleasure for such a fruitful and engaging event. PM Drew mentioned, “Today I met with the elderly of St. Peter’s, Constituency #8, to discuss with them the Government’s plans to improve the lives of the elderly within the various communities. We also engaged in a few fun activities such as kite making, which they enjoyed.”
Dr Terrance Drew, who also serves as the Health Ministry of St Kitts and Nevis, gathered praise from all sides for his outstanding work. Many people took to the comment section and lauded Prime Minister for being the most caring and lovable. One of the users noted, “Yes, PM. That’s awesome. You are so caring and lovely. Thanks much for looking out for the seniors.” At the same time, another outlined, “Man, that is awesome. The user added, “Well done, keeping our seniors engaged and actively involved adds to their physical and mental health well-being. Great Job. Let’s plan a senior’s sports day with the constituents competing for the best Team….”
The third one stated, “You can also plan an Intergenerational Activity so the seniors can past on some of their skills, knowledge and cultural experiences with the youths.”
Additionally, the pleasure was expressed by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Ageing & Disabilities. “It’s the smile for us! St Peter’s Elderly Daycare officially launched, and our Kite Making activity with Javonne Pemberton was a hit!” the post by the ministry stated.
