Shontae Alleyne-Clarke competes in her first regional pageant, wishes extended
The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Engagement of Barbados congratulated Shontae Alleyne-Clarke who is also known as Tae on competing in her first regional pageant.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Engagement of Barbados congratulated Shontae Alleyne-Clarke who is also known as Tae on competing in her first regional pageant.
Notably, Tae participated in the 2023 Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant, where she was honoured with various awards. The awards include the Best Theatrical Appearance award for Best Costume, Best Speech and Best Question and Answer.
Her costume for the event was designed by Anthony Payne and Trevor Nicholls. The design of the costume exhibits beauty, talent and a theatrical appearance.
Moreover, Shontae is an expressive and outgoing lady who was born on 29 July 2007 in the beautiful island nation of Barbados.
It is to be noted Tae is a member of the Barbados Girl Guide Association, the Barbados National Youth Steel Orchestra, the President of the Combermere Student Council and a youth leader. She has also started a Homework Club for the students to provide them with a safe and secure environment to do their homework after school. She is a Primary School Student Council because of her interest in supporting and motivating the youth towards their passion.
Shontae has always been very passionate about writing, dancing and singing. Her passion for stage and performing has motivated her to get involved in both pageantry and calypso competitions. She is a versatile singer and has recorded singles in Calypso, Soca and Reggae.
Further, at a very young age, Shontae received many accolades for her dedication and tiring efforts towards her work. Her achievements include,
- At Richard Stoute Teen Talent Contest she has won 6 to 12 categories.
- She was the runner-up in the Barbados Junior Prince and Princess Pageant in 2019.
- Tae is also the winner of Scotiabank Junior Monarch in 2019 and 2022.
- Shontae has also received the award of the first runner-up in the Baje to the World Season 2 in 2022.
- She is the reigning Junior Soca Monarch for 2023.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Youth of Barbados stated that they are extremely proud of all the accomplishments made by the Shontae as well as extended her best wishes for the year 2024 and beyond.
