Shamar Joseph gets his IPL maiden Cap for Lucknow Super Giants against KKR

Shamar Joseph, the star player of the West Indies Cricket team played his first Indian Premier League match for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday, 14th April 2024. He got his IPL maiden Cap against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

The player was signed by the management of LSG as the replacement for their pacer player Mark Wood. He signed a deal of INR 3 crore to join the team and got an opportunity to play his debut game on Sunday.

The Indian Premier League is a very well-known cricket league in the world which is a ten city-based franchise teams. The league is conducted every year and the 2024 edition will consist of 74 matches that will be played from 22nd March to 26th May 2024.

Shamar Joseph was not able to impress his fans with his performance as he gave away 47 runs in 4 overs without any wickets. His fans were disappointed following his performance and expected him to at least take a wicket.

Unfortunately, he could not lead up to the expectations of his fans but he has promised to give his 100% in his next game so that he can contribute to leading his team to victory. The game was also won by Kolkata Knight Riders as they defeated LSG by 8 wickets.

However, the management of LSG has expressed their faith in Shamar Joseph and has assured all the cricket lovers that they will continue to provide the required support to him and he will definitely bounce back in his next game and give the best outcome.

The Captain of Lucknow Super Giants and Indian batsman KL Rahul also extended support to Shamar Joseph and stated “The positive was he was bowling very quick and he got the ball to nip around.” He also added that the team will continue to back him and provide invaluable support so that he can come up as a key player in crucial moments and can be able to show his real potential.

Several residents of the country took to their official social media accounts and expressed their best wishes to Shamar for his next game and the tournament.
