Sashelle Alves crowned Miss Carriacou and Petite Martinique Carnival Queen 2024

Sashelle Alves has won the crown of the Miss Carriacou and Petite Martinique Carnival Queen 2024. It is to be noted that the incident took place at Hillsborough Recreational Ground on 8th February 2024.

Sashelle Alves has won the crown of the Miss Carriacou and Petite Martinique Carnival Queen 2024. It is to be noted that the event was hosted at the place at Hillsborough Recreational Ground on 8th February 2024. It is the stage where young women from Grenada, Carriacou & Petite Martinique compete for the title through beauty, talent and creativity.

Along with the title of Carriacou Carnival Queen 2024, Sashelle Alves also won the tag of Best Evening Wear.

She defeated four other contestants to win the title and emerge victorious. Following Miss Soubise, Aaliyah Henry was declared the first runner-up of the event while Miss Paraclete Kenya Alexander was named the second runner-up of the event.

The other two participants who participated in the pageant were Miss Union Kewanna Hackshaw and Miss Brunswick Kinique Mathews. The night was filled with colourful costumes, beautiful evening gowns, poise and elegance. The event gave an opportunity for all the participants to showcase their beauty and talent.

Notably, the show is among the events leading up to Kayak Mas 2024. It is the event that exhibits the vibrant, rich culture and tradition of the nation.

Sashella Alves, a 19-year-old trailblazer who is celebrated for her academic excellence and entrepreneurial spirit, hails from the cultural village of Windward and has been named the Carriacou Carnival Queen for 2024.

Alves has always been passionate towards achieving her goals. Her academic journey led her to become the valedictorian of both Dover Government School and Bishop’s College. She later earned success when she received her associate degree in business honours from the very renowned T.A. Marryshow Community College. Subsequently, she was propelled into the financial sector, where she is climbing the ladder of success through her unwavering commitment and dedication.

Sashelle describes herself as ambitious, fearless and bold lady who stepped onto the stage with the vision of celebrating heritage, freedom with grace, intelligence and flair.

The winner of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Carnival Queen in 2023, Brianna Primus extended congratulations to Sashelle Alves on capturing the title and stated “I am confident that the next Carnival Queen will carry the torch with grace and continue to reveal the beauty of our traditions.”
