Saint Lucia showcases in Canada

Saint Lucia: The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) hosted its 2022 summit in Ontario on September 14, 2022, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Representing the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority was Sales Manager Ernie George.

The ACTA summit provided an avenue to reconnect with the industry during a day of professional development and networking.

Ernie seized the opportunity to engage travel partners and consumers on the destination of Saint Lucia during general sessions, breakout rooms with top motivational speakers, entrepreneur panels, and leading figures from a variety of sectors who were present to share new ideas, opportunities, and experiences. Ernie also did several curated events, including a ‘Lunch and Learned’ in London, ON, and a Virtuoso Luxury engagement with 30 Virtuoso advisors in Montreal.

While in Montreal, Ernie also attended the Air Canada Product launch with destination partners, and then it was off to Vancouver to attend the Vancouver International Travel Show, which was attended by over 5,000 consumers.

Canadian arrivals are expected to get a boost with the return of Air Canada on October 9, as well as Sunwing, plus subsequent increases with WestJet nonstop service.
