The President of Guyana, Dr Irfaan Ali met virtually with the founder of Space X and Tesla, tech giant Elon Musk and held significant discussions with a vision to form healthy partnership and foster the economy of the country.

Georgetown, Guyana: The President of Guyana, Dr Irfaan Ali met virtually with the founder of Space X and Tesla, tech giant Elon Musk and held significant discussions with a vision to form healthy partnership and foster the economy of the country.
While sharing the glimpses of their virtual talk, President Dr Irfaan Ali stated that it was wonderful talking to such knowledgeable personality. He stated that they discussed on the advancement of Guyana’s economy, especially in the areas such as innovation and technology, and the opportunities that exist in the respective sectors.
Elon Musk is the owner of SpaceX, a spacecraft manufacturer that is a launch service provider and satellite communications company. Along with that, he also owns Tesla—a clean energy company that focusses on solar power, and the manufacture of battery electric vehicles.
During their meeting, Elon Musk also extended congratulations to President Ali on the impressive rate of progress and development in Guyana. He also expressed his excitement and interest in exploring several potential opportunities for future collaboration in the technological landscape of the nation.
The Director of Presidential Affairs, Marcia Nadir-Sharma was also part of the meeting. She shed light on the significance of high-level engagements in steering Guyana towards a technologically-advanced future.
