PM Roosevelt Skerrit, along with other Dominican leaders, extended wishes on Mother’s Day
On this special and auspicious day, the leader of Dominica and PM Roosevelt Skerrit also poured the heartiest wishes towards mothers all over the world and expressed their gratitude.

Roseau, Dominica: The world celebrated Mother’s Day on May 14, 2023 (Sunday). People across the world wished their mothers on this auspicious day and praised them as well as thanked them for their tireless contribution towards their families. Mothers have always stood with their families and always supported their children at all times.
On this special and auspicious day, the leader of Dominica also poured the heartiest wishes towards mothers all over the world and expressed their gratitude. All the leaders took to social media and expressed their views.
Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica wished the mother around the globe and noted, “I pay homage to all mothers across Dominica for your selfless love and exceptional strength, which have sustained our families and communities.”
He further extended thanks towards the mothers for their each and every contribution. The social media post by PM Skerrit read, “For the care and nurturing of our children and for your immeasurable contribution to our nation, we celebrate you today and always.”
He concluded, “On behalf of the Government of Dominica, Happy Mother’s Day to each of you. May God Bless You.”
Minister of Housing and Parliamentary Representative of Roseau Central, Melissa Poponne-Skerrit, also joined PM Skerrit. She wished the mothers and shared her pictures with her kids, emphasising the beauty of being a mother.
“A mother’s love is unconditional and everlasting. Not every moment is picture-perfect, but these are often the moments most worth it. Happy Mother’s Day to all Moms today!” she captioned the photographs.
Along with this, Dr Irving McIntyre – Minister of Finance of Dominica, also extended their heartiest wishes on this special and auspicious occasion. He noted, “To my dear mothers from the Roseau Valley and across Dominica. We celebrate you today! Keep nurturing, loving and inspiring the children of our nation.”
These leaders were further joined by Minister of Tourism of Dominica Denise Charles, who expressed, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers in the Soufriere Constituency, Dominica, and around the globe! Today is dedicated to honouring the unconditional love, sacrifices, and unwavering support of mothers! We are fortunate to have such incredible women in our life!”
She added, “Yesterday, I spent my day visiting the elderly and differently-abled mothers in my constituency! Seeing their smiles and gratitude warmed my heart! Special Thanks to Jollys Pharmacy Ltd, Coulibri Ridge, Sister Nat, and Starrin & Sons for partnering with me to deliver baskets of love!”
