Northern Division officers recover firearm & ammunition, arrests four individuals
The anti-crime exercise by the officers of Northern Division led to an arrest of four individuals. The officials recovered firearm, ammunition and police apparel from the scene.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: The anti-crime exercise by the officers of the Northern Division led to the arrest of four individuals. The officials recovered firearms, ammunition and police apparel from the scene.
As per police reports, the accused included three males aged 21, 23 and 28 from the D’Abadie area and one female aged 18 years old from Arima.
The officers of Northern Division received an information regarding an illegal firearm in Maloney. Upon responding to the matter, the officials of Maloney CID, Northern Division Emergency Response Patrol, Cumuto CID, K9 Unit, along with the Northern Division Task Force arrived at the location.
Upon arrival at the location, they executed four search warrants for few areas such as two Ali Jhan Lane, Piarco Old Road residences and at Helen Street, Red Hill, D’Abadie and at the locations of Piarco Old Road South.
The ranks collaboratively conducted a search in these areas and seized the following items,
- One assault rifle with 17 rounds of 5.56 ammunition
- A magazine
- Collection of police apparel
Furthermore, the police and other officials packed the items and took them to the police division. During the exercises, they arrested three males and one female in connection with the findings.
The further inquiries are continuing by PC Salina. The authorities urged the public with any information to come forward and assist them in their investigation.
Additionally, the anti-crime exercises were conducted under the leadership of Senior Supt Montrichand, Supt Carthy, Asp Pitt, Inspector Mascal and Inspector Alleyne.
The people across the region took to their social media handles (Facebook) and lauded the untiring efforts of the police department (TTPS).
“Good works TTPS. Very concerned on how these criminals getting TTPS gears”, quoted a user named Clevon Sterling.
“Well done officers keep up the great job you all are doing”, commented another person named Rishi Lobin.
