Bridgetown: The Ministry of Health and Wellness informed the general public that the COVID vaccination centres in Barbados would remain close on the election day, that is, January 19, 2022, and neither on Friday, January 21, Errol Barrow Day.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, January 20, 2022, the immunisation units will be administering the COVID-19 vaccine doses to shut-ins only.
Following is the list of the COVID vaccination centres, which will operate from today, January 18 to 23, 2022 are:
On Tuesday, January 18 –
- Building No.2, Harbour Industrial Park, – St Michael – to remain open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
- Winston Scott Polyclinic, Jemmotts Lane, – St Michael – to remain open from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
- Al-Falah School, Passage Road, St. Michael – to remain open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
On Saturday, January 22 –
- Building No.2, Harbour Industrial Park, – St. Michael – to remain open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
- Barbados Football Association, Garfield Sobers Complex, – Wildey Turf, St. Michael – from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
On Sunday, January 23 –
- Building No.2, Harbour Industrial Park, St. Michael – from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
- Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Mile-and-a-Quarter, St. Peter – 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The citizens who are walking in to take their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine are required to bring their identification card, and those who are coming to take their second jab are needed to bring their blue vaccination card.
The health ministry informed the general public that booster shots of the AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Sinopharm vaccines are also being administered for the eligible population.
Individuals walking in to receive their booster shot are required to present either their blue vaccination card and vaccination certificate and valid photo identification. The students are also called on by the health ministry to take their jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine.
