‘Vaccination for tourism workers in Jamaica’ says Edmund Bartlett
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett declared that Jamaica has initiated to plan an effective strategy that includes vaccinating workers in the tourism industry.

Jamaica: COVID-19 has erupted the normal lives worldwide. People have literally forgotten to experience tours and travels. In between, the tourism sector has also encountered a significant setback which is descending its worth.
The sister islands are exclusively dependent upon tourism for their source of income. Hence these islands aim to revive their tourism industry. Consequently, the government of these nations have initiated measures to strengthen their workers too.
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett declared that Jamaica has initiated to plan an effective strategy that includes vaccinating workers in the tourism industry.
As a component of a broader national vaccination drive against COVID-19, Jamaica’s objective is to target the vaccination of 30,000 tourism operators by the end of the second week of April.
The move accompanies similar actions across the tourism-dependent on the region. “We want all of our tourism workers to be prevented, and I want it for many purposes,”
Bartlett stated, “First of all, for their own health and security and furthermore, for the insurance of the market that Jamaica is a safe, secure and seamless purpose and to be able to say to the business that the Jamaican workers are all protected.”
Moreover, Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett addressed a major declaration at Montego Bay Convention Centre( the current location for vaccination site in Jamaica).
He stated, “Vaccination is one of the reliable ways of holding out the opportunity of fighting this COVID-19 pandemic, and while it is dependable that the world doesn’t say it is the only solution, it is certainly a big component of what helps us to manage this procedure.”
The Minister announced that, following the “blitz,” Jamaica “strength be the most vaccinated tourism-worker organisation in the entire Caribbean region, and that’s a major announcement to be made.” He also added that Jamaica has been open for tourism since last June.
Jamaica has encountered several cases of exogenous coronavirus recently. However, it is the first Caribbean country to have COVID-19 vaccines under the COVAX facility.
