UDP congratulates 220 men and women joining Belize Police Department
Current opposition party, the United Democratic Party (UDP), congratulates the 220 men and women who today (on December 17, 2021) join the ranks of the Belize Police Department as new law enforcers.

Belmopan, Belize: Current opposition party, the United Democratic Party (UDP), congratulates the 220 men and women who today (on December 17, 2021) join the ranks of the Belize Police Department as new law enforcers.
The party issued a statement in a press release that states, “At a time when the challenges are more daunting than ever for those whose mission and responsibility is to uphold law & order, the UDP, as should all Belizeans, thanks them for choosing and embracing this herculean task of restoring, protecting and preserving the safety and security of our people, our communities and our nation”.
The UDP urges and encourages them, and all those men and women who make up the Police Department and our other disciplined forces, to discharge their solemn duty and execute their vital function with utmost integrity, fairness and diligence.
As they pass out from 20 weeks of training and on to a lifetime of service and sacrifice, the opposition party implored them to always remember that their sworn commitment and mission, as expressly stated in the department’s motto, is that of “Working in Partnership with the Community for a Safer Belize.”
“Congratulations and thanks from Opposition Leader Honorable Patrick Faber and the United Democratic Party, and a Blessed Christmas to all of you & your families,” the press release furthermore added.

The police department is under the Ministry of Home Affairs. General Duties, Crime Investigation, and Tactical Service are the three operational branches of the Belize Police Department. BPD has been known for various significant operations.
