Roseau, Dominica: Tranquility Beach Resort is all set to open its doors to guests in Dominica by 2025 and will have a huge impact on the growth of the tourism economy. Sharing updates on the project, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said that the project has been employing over 200 people during the construction phase and will project the jobs to 100 after completion.

PM Skerrit appreciated the funds generated by the Citizenship by Investment Programme for the growth of the project and stated that this is what they have been trying to use the funds. Sustainable projects are underway in Dominica which have been creating permanent jobs for lots of the local people at various levels and skill sets.

“We are very happy to be here, the cabinet, and all the permanent secretaries and Senior Public officers to visit and just to see the impact of the Citizenship by Investment Programme. We are committed to ensuring that this project comes to a successful completion and that Dominica can benefit from its operation.”

Highlighting accommodation offerings, PM Skerrit added that the quality of furnishing and the quality of the construction is amazing as the rooms, the fillers, the self-contained kitchen, the laundry services, and so far will provide an exceptional experience.

He further talked about the tree house and said that this is a very interesting twist to the property and this will be going to be only property with the mix of guest offerings.
From the government standpoint, Prime Minister Skerrit added that this is where people are going to be getting more sustainable revenues because more people come in, more consumption, which means more revenue.

He noted, ”The hotel in tranquility beach and other facilities that we are doing in infrastructure are sustainable projects which will bring any kind of revenues that the country needs because we have to broaden the revenue option.”

Such projects are aimed at enhancing the tax revenue base so that the country could become able to address issues by itself. PM Skerrit also invited the students of architecture and interior decoration in Dominica to understand the entire process of the construction.

In addition to that, the Tourism Minister of Dominica– Denise Charles, also joined Prime Minister Skerrit in the site visit and termed the project “a milestone”. She said that the project will enhance the economic resilience and goals of the tourism industry.

She mentioned that the Beach Resort and Spa will enhance the tourism economy and will be a unique but excellent addition to the world-class resorts right here in Dominica.
Minister Charles added, ”The 101 room property is truly unique in its design, we have conference that can concieve up to 200 people and accommodation is really different, tourists from across the globe will get the unique and authentic experiences.”

Talking about rooftop bar, Minister Charles added that the major facility will feature with 360 view where people can stay on top there and see Scotts Head so this resort has spectacular view all around. “We hope that we can open this property next year before the Creole festival and put additional pressure on the developer, but certainly excellent work by all the people.”
