The Hurricane Beryl has been marked as the earliest hurricane to have intensified and strengthened into the category 5 Atlantic hurricane. It has rushed through the Caribbean, followed by an amount of destruction to the Windward Islands, where the first death has already been listed.
Beryl was marked as category 5 once it reached a monstrous speed of 160 mph. But for further updates, the hurricane has already touched the vigorous speed of 165 mph. It was the second time ever that an Atlantic hurricane reached this category.
Landfall has been reported at Grenada’s Carriacou Island as the hurricane hits the region at around 11 a.m. EDT, with a speed of 150 mph. Regarding this the Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell stated that widespread devastation and destruction has been reported in Carriacou and Petite Martinique. He also added that with in an hour, Carriacou was flattened.

In Grenada, a major part of the Island approximated to 95%, has lost power due to Beryl. Apart from this, the Union Island, just to the north of Grenada, has been devastated with about 90% of the residences severely damaged and turned to the ground. Telecommunication and internet services around the region has been affected.
