St Kitts and Nevis: Old Road Rum shines at International Spirits Challenge 2024, wins two medals

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Old Road Rum has awarded with two silver medals at the International Spirits Challenge 2024. These awards are a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of Old Road Rum’s to innovation and creativity.

The Old Road Rum Company exists to bring rum production back to the island of St. Kitts and regenerate the Old Road Town community.

It was awarded in two different categories. Firstly, they were presented in the Design & Packaging Awards category for New Brand Launch and, secondly, in the Tasting Award Category for Aged 11 Years Old and Over.

The International Spirit Challenge 2024 is the premier event in promoting outstanding quality spirits from across the globe. This competition recognizes the global drinks calendar and celebrate excellence both in the craft and presentation of spirits.

After winning the exceptional recognition in ISC awards, the Jack Widdowson, Managing Director of Old Road Rum Company expressed gratitude and exciting on clinching two silver medals. He stated that this award is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of their brand towards producing high-quality spirits and delivering them in standout packaging.

In the official post shared by the Company on their social media account, they expressed their honour on winning at the International Spirits Challenge 2024 and stated that these accolades are a testament to the passion, creativity, and dedication of their entire team. They added that at Old Road Rum, every bottle tells a story of heritage, innovation and the relentless pursuit of perfection.

Moreover, the team of the Old Road Rum Company promised to continue to work hard to work for the services of their customers. They also added that these awards are a source of inspiration for them to continue pushing boundaries and to share the spirit of St. Kitts and Nevis with the world.

Following their victory in the ISG 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries of St Kitts and Nevis, Samal Duggins, extended congratulations to Old Road Rum for winning two silver medals. He stated that the Design & Packaging award recognizes the creativity, innovation, and relevance of Old Road Rum’s bottle design to its target market.

Meanwhile, the second award of the Tasting Award Category is a testament to the exceptional quality of the rum produced by Old Road Rum Company.

Minister Duggins also lauded the Managing Director of the Company and his team for diligently working towards their packaging, services and quality.
