St Kitts and Nevis nationals win Best Performance Awards at 2024 Taipei International Travel Fair
St Kitts and Nevis delivered an exceptional performance titled “Saint Kitts and Nevis Folklore Galore” on 2nd November, 2024.

The nationals of St Kitts and Nevis won the Best Performance Award for the second consecutive year at the 2024 Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF). This fair was conducted from 1st to 4th November, 2024 in Taiwan, an opportunity for the participants to showcase their talent, creativity and culture on an international platform.
The 2024 Taipei International Travel Fair brought representatives from 111 countries together to showcase their vibrant culture and strengthen relations with each other.

Notably, the Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis in Taiwan also participated at the fair and showcased the two biggest carnival festivities of the island nation, i.e., “Sugar Mas and Culturama.”
A group of nationals from St Kitts and Nevis delivered an exceptional performance titled “Saint Kitts and Nevis Folklore Galore” on 2nd November, 2024. They showcased the vibrance of Sugarmas and Culturama in their performance by featuring steelpan music, popular songs, masquerade dancing, and an unforgettable choreographed dance routine.

The Ambassador of St Kitts and Nevis to the Republic of China (Taiwan), Donya L. Francis explained their decision to choose Sugar Mas and Culturama as a theme.
He stated that Taiwanese people have often shown their interest in the cultural performances of St Kitts and Nevis. They therefore decided to choose “Sugarmas and Culturama,”as a theme for their booth in order to share more about their carnival festivities and cultural heritage with the people around the world.

The Ambassador also recalled last year when they displayed the rainforest of St Kitts and Nevis. The Ambassador stated that the last year’s theme helped them in attracting visitors from all over the world, encouraging them to explore the natural hidden gems and the beauty of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis.
The Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis in Taiwan also shared the glimpses of the event on their social media account. They lauded all those nationals who helped them in winning the Best Performance Awards and for showcasing the best of St Kitts and Nevis on the international platform.
“This year, the Embassy chose to display the Nevis Culturama Festival and SugarMas,” noted the Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis in Taiwan.
The Embassy also recognized the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy’s staff and their nationals for making their participation at Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) in Taiwan possible.
