St Kitts and Nevis: FM Douglas meets Indian Minister Nadda, discusses cooperation in health sector
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas, met with Union Minister J P Nadda during his official visit to India.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas, met with Union Minister J P Nadda during his official visit to India. Both the leaders held significant talks and discussed cooperation in the health sector.
According to the information, the discussions focused on medical education, pharmaceuticals, non-communicable diseases and medical value travel. This significant meeting was held in New Delhi on Tuesday.
During the meeting, both the leaders got the chance to explore potential areas of collaboration while strengthening bilateral ties between St Kitts and Nevis and India.
Minister Nadda also welcomed and honoured Dr Douglas with a bouquet of flowers before the meeting began.
The meeting was joined by several other officials from India all of whom got the chance to have one on one conversation with the St Kitts and Nevis’ Minister.
Notably, Dr Douglas is in India for an official visit of six days. He arrived on Sunday and since then has been participating in crucial meetings with Indian ministers.
The Minister has already signed two Memorandum of Agreements since his arrival in India. These include an agreement for cooperation in sports and another to intensify the bilateral political consultations between Indian and St Kitts and Nevis.
These agreements will enhance bilateral ties between both the countries while benefitting them in one way or the other.
It is reported that the MoU for sports cooperation was signed on Monday between Minister Douglas and Indian Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. This crucial agreement aims to help athletes in the Federation in various areas while giving them international exposure.
The second agreement was signed between Dr Denzil Douglas and his Indian counterpart Dr S Jaishankar earlier today after the meeting with Union Minister Nadda. With this MoU, both the leaders aim to host important discussions about both countries’ affairs on a routine basis.
Minister Douglas will continue to participate in several other meetings as he remains in India till August 9, 2024. These engagements are anticipated to boost diplomatic ties and create new avenues of partnership which will benefit both India and St Kitts and Nevis.
