Saint Lucia is all set to host the 45th Independence Gospel Fest on Saturday, 10th February, 2024. The event is to be held at Waymark Ministries, 185 Remsen Ave, Brooklyn, New York 11212.

Emrand Henry, Saint Lucia’s Gospel Music Ambassador and a host of Caribbean Gospel artists, invited all the citizens to celebrate Saint Lucia’s 45th Independence Gospel Fest. The fest will begin at 6:00 pm. The theme will be celebrated under the theme of Inspiration and Hope.

While extending the invitation, he stated, “I am inviting all my Saint Lucian Gospel music lovers to a time of praise and worship. Let’s celebrate Saint. Lucia’s 45th independence with a night of powerful praise and worship unto God. It is going to be Epic.”

It is to be noted that the fest is conducted annually by the Consulate General of Saint Lucia in New York to celebrate the Independence of the island nation with soulful music and a large lineup of Gospel artists.

Moreover, the 44th Independence Gospel Fest was a huge success as it was enjoyed and attended by many Saint Lucians and friends of Saint Lucia.

Menissa Rambally, Saint Lucia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Jeremiah Hyacinth, Saint Lucia’s Consulate General in New York, attended and addressed the gathering. Saint Lucia’s Ambassador for Diaspora Affairs, Julian DuBois, was not able to attend the event but addressed everyone virtually.

The highlight of last year’s event was Emrand Henry, a renowned Saint Lucian gospel entertainer and international recording artist. He will grace the event this year as well through his presence and beautiful performance.

The fest also featured a lot of gospel entertainers, which included gospel heavyweight Shirley Ann Cyril-Myers, Hailey and Kayla Jn Francois. Along with that, Jamaican gospel performers Joan Smith, Odayne Rhoden, and Robert Bailey also made their appearances at the fest.

Various activities will be held this year to mark Saint Lucia’s 45th anniversary of Independence, and Gospel Fest is just a part of it. The events that are likely to be experienced by the citizens are a flag-raising ceremony, an Independence gala, a church service, the annual Independence Market, the Young Saint Lucian Professionals Mixer, the Saint Lucia Cultural Explosion and many more.

The residents of Saint Lucia also expressed their delight in attending the fest through their social media accounts. One person with a Facebook handle commented the following: “Awesome man of God, God’s blessings and favour.”
