Castries, Saint Lucia: Jeremiah Norbert, Saint Lucian politician, Deputy Speaker of the Lower House and former Police Officer, recently had a fruitful interaction with the business owners and the young population of the country. During this meet, Norbert was joined by a team from the Ministry of Commerce, including the minister.
The interactive session was conducted at the Micoud Multi-Purpose Centre, as per the update by Saint Lucian politician. The social media update by Norbert read, “On Sunday, the 16th of April 2023, I joined the Ministry of Commerce and other business agencies along with the Minister of Commerce at the Micoud Multi-Purpose Center.”
Further, he added that providing opportunities is one thing, but bringing these opportunities to young budding entrepreneurs and business owners is an entirely different story.
According to the update shared by Jeremiah Norbert, scores of young people and business owners sat in the room whilst the various agencies presented the opportunities available at their different agencies.
In addition to all information, Norbert took the platform to express his gratitude towards each and every participant. He also expressed joy in becoming a part of this meeting.
He noted, “I was particularly pleased with the fact that we were able to convene this business forum and have all the agencies involved under one roof. Truth be told, the “ease” accessing opportunities is not as “easy” as it sounds, and at times the process can be extremely frustrating, especially for persons from my constituency who are already disadvantaged by their geographical location.”

Further, he praised the Commerce Ministry of Saint Lucia for being there for every citizen and resident as well as for providing various opportunities and chances to all the locals.
The social media post by Jeremiah Norbert informed, “I applaud the Ministry of Commerce for seeing the need to decentralize and take the opportunities to the various locals. I also encouraged those individuals who were present to make optimum use of the opportunities which were presented and inform other like-minded individuals in the community of these opportunities which exist.”
