Castries, Saint Lucia: HelpAWS, the dog shelter organisation based in Castries, has given an opportunity to people who are looking for a “furever” best friend.

As per the update by the organisation, at HelpAWS, the volunteers have so many adorable pups looking for their forever families. Unfortunately, these little babies haven’t had the easiest beginnings, but even through all the pain and heartbreaks, they remain kind, humble souls. They simply want nothing more than to spread joy, happiness and love to anyone who will have them.

Whether an individual wants a pup who is shy or a social butterfly, a pup who is a cuddle bug… or maybe is looking for one who will give a permanent smile with their silly personality, you will definitely find a perfect match in one of our adorable fur babies.

“Don’t forget, though, that personalities can change, and an outgoing pup at the shelter might be a scared one in the city, so you must be willing to work through any and all developments and behavioural changes with your pup. Rescuing a pup means understanding you are adopting a life that has faced abuse and neglect at a young age, and they will be looking to you to guide them and show them that with time and love, they can have a great life,” the social media post mentioned.

It added, “We’ve taken in so many little ones lately that our shelter has become overcrowded with rescues, but even though we are filled to the brim, we will continue to help these babies who need us!”

Further, while asking for donations, HelpAWS stated, “In order for us to continue to save lives, we need your help.

If anyone is in search of their forever best friend, a bestie to go through the good and bad times with, and a family member who will provide you with unconditional love and loyalty, then a HelpAWS pup may just be what you need!
