The health ministry of Barbados island has released the COVID-19 vaccination time and venues for Sunday, November 7, 2021.
All the COVID-19 vaccination sites across the Caribbean island will provide the doses of – AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Sinopharm vaccines. While children between the age group of 12 to 18 years can attain their jabs of the Pzifer COVID-19 vaccine from any centre or pop-up clinic.
Following is the list of the COVID-19 vaccination centres across the island –
Vaccination Centre –
- Building No. 2, Harbour Industrial Park, St. Michael, will remain open from 10 am to 4 pm.
Mobile Bus Teams –
- Courtesy Mobile Bus at Dover Pavilion, Dover, Christ Church – from 10 am to 3 pm.
- Sagicor Mobile Bus at Folkestone Marine Park, Holetown, St. James – from 10 am to 3 pm.
- Conrad Hunte Playing Field, Shorey Village, St. Andrew – from 1 pm to 5 pm
The Ministry of Health further noted that the individuals who will come to the vaccination centres to take their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine would have to bring their identification cards. While those who are eligible for their second doses should also come with their blue vaccination card.
The Booster shots for the AstraZeneca vaccine will also be available at all sites for people 18 years & older who had their second injection six months ago or longer.
According to the statistics, so far, more than 149,355 individuals( which is around 52 per cent of the population) are vaccinated in Barbados island country with atleast one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. At the same time, around 128,000 people have received their second jab of the vaccine and are now fully vaccinated, which is around 44.5 per cent of its total population.
The health ministry and the Prime Minister – Mia Amor Mottley has once again requested the citizens to come forward and receive their shots of the vaccine in order to eliminate the deadliest virus.
