The government of St Kitts & Nevis has made the COVID-19 testing drive free of cost for the citizens.

Basseterre: The government of St Kitts & Nevis has made the COVID-19 testing drive free of cost for the citizens. In case an individual faces any symptom of the COVID-19 virus, he/she is advised by the government to get an immediate test.
Following is the list of testing sites for a free COVID-19 test –
- Basseterre Health Center
It will remain open twice a week, that is, on Tuesdays and Fridays, operating from 6:30 to 7:30 am.
- Pogson Hospital
To remain open only on Wednesdays, from 6:30 to 7:30 am.
- Mary Charles Hospital
To be operational on Thursdays only between 6:30 to 7:30 am.
The Ministry of Health & Wellness has advised the citizens not to take public transportation or visit any public place where there is a high possibility of virus transmissibility if they are having any of the COVID-19 symptoms.
In case of any emergency or information regarding COVID-19, one can call a healthcare provider or the 311 hotline number for advice.
Meanwhile, all of the other health centres administering vaccination doses will be operational from Mondays to Fridays, between 1 pm to 4 pm, every day.
On Saturdays, the vaccination centres of Newtown, Cayon, Molineux and Sandy Point will operate between 9 am to 4 pm. While on Sundays, only Newtown COVID-19 vaccination centre will be administering the COVID-19 vaccine doses from 1 pm to 5 pm.
The individuals are not required to take appointments prior to arriving at the vaccination centres for taking their vaccine doses.
If the general public needs any help regarding the COVID-19, they can call on the helpline numbers at – (869) 467-1146/1233 (St Kitts), (869) 469-5521, 2035/2051/(869) 469 -8010 (Nevis island).
As per the data, around 81.5% of individuals have received their first dose, and at least 76% of people are fully vaccinated against the deadliest virus so far.
