Malta: The Malta police have arrested a 30-year-old man under the suspicion of a series of thefts on Tuesday.
According to the preliminary information by the police officials, the man committed the crime in the period of one month. He was involved in stealing several items from a private company; thousands of Euros were stolen by the accused.
Police officials stated that the stolen items were found while looking for two garages in St Paul’s Bay.
Police have kept the man at the Police Headquarters in Floriana. Expectedly, he would be presented in the court, in front of the Magistrate Nadine Lia, at approximately 11 in the morning.
Theft cases are not new in this small island country; just a week back, a hooded man broke and entered a house in Marsaskala and stole the items up to €10,000. The thief took around 45 minutes to steal the items from the apartment. The looted items included laptops, watches, cash, perfumes, car keys as well as cigars. The thief is still at large, but a man was captured in the CCTV camera of the nearby buildings.
