St. Kitts and Nevis: Dr. Terrance Drew- the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis visited the BAPS (Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha) Hindu Mandir at Abu Dhabi. He stated his pleasure of being there as he is the first CARICOM leader to visit the temple.
“I had the honor to be the first CARICOM leader to visit BAPS Hindu Mandir,” mentioned the Prime Minister.
The temple is the first stone-constructed Hindu temple in the Middle East and is a symbol of love, peace and harmony. The temple as well is known as “a spiritual oasis for Global Harmony.” This phrase itself reveals the essence of love and peace that the divine place holds.
During the visit, the Prime Minister had a great time with Brahmavihari Swami who is the incharge for International relations for the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha Hindu organization. Further, he was introduced to the temple and all deities by the Swami.
PM Drew shared some of the glimpses from his visit to the temple where the glory is extremely evident and the gestures are revealing every bit of heartfelt emotions. Through the glances, it is seen that the PM is greeted by anointing the forehead (a ceremony in Hindu culture as a religious symbol).

Further, the Prime Minister appreciated the actions of the UAE in providing the land for the temple that holds power and is of great significance. The PM added, “The UAE, by gifting the land for the temple, has demonstrated its commitment to inclusivity and tolerance – an example for all.”
In recent days, the Prime Minister has been in the UAE for a geothermal project that aims at fostering development in his country, St. Kitts and Nevis where the MOU is signed between K&K Group and Siemens Energy. Through this, the country can reach the path of improving stability in the country.
