PM Rowley acknowledges Barbados’s PM, T&T to immunize frontline workers

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago’s government vaccinated frontline workers in the nation granted by Barbados.

Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Keith Rowley, wrote, “Today our frontline workers began receiving vaccines courtesy of the generosity of our neighbor Barbados.”

Furthermore, Prime Minister Keith Rowley added, “I want to thank Prime Minister the Hon. Mia Mottley for sharing her precious gift of COVID-19 vaccines with the people of Trinidad and Tobago.”

Recent reports claimed that Trinidad and Tobago obtained 2,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from Barbados on Wednesday. PM made the announcement in Parliament on Friday.

Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Keith Rowley, declared that the vaccines were part of a 50,000 dose consignment made to the government of Barbados by the govt of India, where the vaccines were produced.

Prime Minister Keith Rowley announced that the administration is exploring all commissioned sources of vaccines ready to vaccinate TT’s population, given that the Covax allocation will only fulfill a portion of what is needed.

According to recent news, PM Rowley stated. At the same time, Guyana and Barbados may have begun their vaccination programs already. The Trinidad and Tobago administration would confine itself to vaccines approved by expert opinion from well-known authorities like WHO and Covax.

The report says Barbados has endured the 100,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from India in nine boxes. They granted these doses to Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and some various Eastern Caribbean territories.

Talking to reporters, Sandra Watson stated, “I hope those T&T people who are not following the Covid-19 Protocols make time to view and understand.”

Furthermore, she added, “PM Dr. Rowley you said No Carnival, but l looked on at some who did not listen. Even in my neighborhood, some were planning a Carnival event and love gathering. I had to remind them of Covid-19. I rather have no new friends than getting Covid-19.”
