PAYS Dominica 2nd Annual Yachting Festival turns out massive success, Tourism authority expresses delight
The PAYS Dominica 2nd Annual Yachting Festival turned out be a huge success and the tourism authority of the island nation expresses gratitude on the successful completion of the event.

Roseau, Dominica: The Ministry of Tourism, Dominica expressed delight in the successful hosting of the PAYS Dominica 2nd Annual Yachting Festival. The festival offered a magnificent and exciting experience to the yachters from all over the world. The yachters were given an opportunity to explore the unparalleled beauty of the island nation.
The tourism authority of Dominica shared glimpses of the festival and shed light on the power-packed programme which was offered to all the yachters. They also emphasised the activities conducted by the authorities in order to attract a large number of yachters to the shores of the country.
The 2nd Annual Pays Dominica Yachting Festival was held from Saturday, 23rd March to Sunday, 31st March 2024 under the theme “Bringing Yachters back together again in 2024.”
The Tourism Authority of the island nation extended gratitude to every yachtie for their adventurous spirit, Offshore Passage Opportunities (OPO) for their constant support and friendship as well as to PAYS Dominica for arranging such an event which made the experience memorable for all the attendees.
Moreover, the yachters who graced the shores of the island nation were offered several exciting activities ranging from exhilarating open-class fun races to voluntary projects.
Along with that, the participating yachters were also engaged in community and environmental services which included projects such as the removal of the Invasive and Predatory Lionfish during the organized Lion Fish Hunt, Wildlife and Parks Division, beach clean-up in collaboration with Portsmouth Town Council, a painting project, a distribution of grocery hampers and many more.
All these activities play a crucial role in benefiting the entire marine ecosystem as well as reducing the risk of pollution which further becomes a threat to flora and fauna.
The participating yachters enjoyed the festival and played a pivotal role in contributing to sustainable livelihoods. The festival also created several employment opportunities for the local citizens which further benefitted their economic conditions and created a positive impact on the entire nation as a whole.
With the successful completion of this year’s PAYS Dominica Yachting Festival, the Ministry of Tourism is looking forward to March 2025 for the 3rd edition of PAYS Dominica Yachting Festival.
