Dominica: India is encountering the massacre of people from COVID-19. The second wave of exogenous coronavirus resulted in the flood of dead bodies. Even then, the numbers of deaths are uncounted by the nation. New York Times reported.
This is the time for neighboring and other countries to go the extra mile to help India. As OECS chairman, Prime Minister of Dominica; Roosevelt Skerrit expressed his feelings and sent them to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
What was written in the message:
As PM Skerrit shared the message on both platforms of social media-Twitter and Facebook. He wrote, “As Chairman of the -Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, I wish to declare that we stand united with India in the hour of need.”
PM Skerrit’s concern over massacre of people in India due to COVID-19
Furthermore, he stated, “India as a nation stood alongside our vulnerable country at our time of need. Not only with the Commonwealth of Dominica but also with our neighbours right here in the Caribbean in the selfless donation of Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccines. The leader of the great nation of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, understood the plight of his Commonwealth brothers and worked swiftly in making the vaccines possible.”
“With a huge population and a notable strain on its medical system, it is a nation in its darkest hours. As we all know, this coronavirus pandemic has swept through many western nations which have suffered similar loss of lives. Let us all keep the people and management of India in our prayers as they continue to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added.
What is the condition of India:
The situation in India is worse than ever. Deaths, cases, and there is no place to bury the dead bodies. The scarcity of Oxygen Cylinders and beds in the hospitals indicates the complexities of the people.
People are terrified and devasted as they are helpless. This pandemic is not less than a natural disaster that causes the massacre of the population. Young, old and adult all are encountering this lethal coronavirus.
Every day, there is an upsurge of 300,000 plus new cases of the virus. Moreover, the front liners are also in danger. Besides this, Saudi Arabia sent oxygen consignment to India as assistance. Several countries are helping India, but the question is when will the situation of COVID-19 will be regulated?
