Nikeva Stapleton to host ‘A Taste of Nevis’, Season 2: Culturama 50 Edition
Nikeva Stapleton, the Cultural Ambassador for the Nevis Tourism Authority, will be hosting ‘A Taste of Nevis, Season 2: Culturama 50 Edition.’ It is a form of Carnival in Nevis, which is celebrated for 12 days.

Nikeva Stapleton, the Cultural Ambassador for the Nevis Tourism Authority, will be hosting ‘A Taste of Nevis, Season 2: Culturama 50 Edition.’ It is a form of Carnival in Nevis, which is celebrated for 12 days. The Carnival offers an opportunity to experience the cultural mosaic of the island.
The Nevis Tourism Authority invites the citizens to experience the Nevis’ traditions, music, culture, and artistic expressions.
This year, Culturama is celebrated under the theme, “Celebrating Culture, Embracing History, It’s Culturama 50.” The second season will play a significant role in showcasing the vibrant culture, rich heritage and different forms of art, which shaped the island for generations.
Stepleton said that her focus is to showcase the beauty of the Nevis culture with the people all over the world. Cultural Ambassador Stapleton is currently residing in Los Angeles.
The Nevis Culturama consisted of a series of events such as music, food fair, games and dance, which display the local talent of the artists. The primary aim of this festival is to create such an environment where local artists thrive and Nevisian indigenous customs will be celebrated.
Such festivities attract a huge number of tourists to its island, which directly boosts the country’s economy. The event is celebrated in order to assist the people of different sectors with the following things,
– To assist the dedicated persons in serving the Nevis Culturama Committee
– To achieve sponsorship from the corporate organizations or the individuals within the business community
– To spread the awareness about Nevis’ cultural heritage and vibrant traditions
– To increase the participation of the talented people, especially the local artists
– To preserve the dying folk traditions of St Kitts and Nevis
Nikeva Stapleton- The Cultural Ambassador
Stapleton is an actor, dancer and model by profession who was raised up in Chicago. She is currently living in Los Angeles. She expressed her delight for hosting the Nevis Culturama 2024 as she has her roots in Nevis folklore traditions.
Her professional journey was inspired by the music and dance, which he enjoyed at her home during annual visits to Nevis. She is looking forward to indulging in the festivities of Nevis’ Carnival.
Many people around the island expressed their joy and excitement for the Nevis Culturama through their comments on social media (Facebook). Moreover, the Cultural Ambassador Nikeva Stapleton also extended a vote of thanks to the Nevis Tourism Authority for giving her an opportunity to host the festivities.
