Nevis left with 0 active COVID-19 cases

St Kitts and Nevis: According to the data shared by the health ministry of the twin-island federation, Nevis has ‘zero’ active cases of COVID-19, whereas St Kitts has only ‘three’ active cases of the deadly virus. As per the latest statics by the health ministry, as of March 12, 2022 (till 6 PM), St Kitts and Nevis have only three active cases of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

In the past 24 hours, the Caribbean nation reported ‘zero’ confirmed cases and ‘one’ person was reportedly recovered from the infection. These figures have taken the tally of confirmed and recovered cases to 5,540 and 5,495, respectively.

Of the total confirmed cases, 4,702 were registered from St Kitts and 838 cases were from Nevis and 4,664 recoveries were registered in St Kitts and the remaining 831 patients were from Nevis.

The number of deaths reported in the country is also ‘zero,’ bringing the total deaths to 42. Out of these, 35 deaths were reported in St Kitts, and the remaining – seven (7) were registered in Nevis.

According to the vaccination trend in St Kitts and Nevis, until March 10, 2022, the total fully vaccinated population is around 26,429 (including children); the total doses administrated in St Kitts and Nevis are 57,781.

As per the health authority of St Kitts and Nevis, 43,931 doses have been administrated in St Kitts, and Nevis people have received 13,850 and a total number of booster doses administered in the twin-island federation is at 3,112.

The above trend shows that around 82.7 percent of the population of St Kitts and Nevis have received the first dose of vaccination and 77.5 percent of the total population have received a second dose of vaccination as well. Booster doses have been administrated by just 9.4 percent of the total population of the Caribbean country.
