St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs in St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party, extended congratulations to the entire country, specifically highlighting the Tourism Minister, Marsha Henderson for the arrival of the Icon of the Seas in the Country.

He added that with the arrival of the World’s Largest Cruise Ship, it became possible for him to visit and explore it and added “I had the opportunity to tour the World’s Largest Cruise Ship”. The hustle all around and the celebratory atmosphere in the country lustred the shores and offered magnificent experiences.

Highlighting the extended tourism of the country, he added his pleasure to such an achievement. He mentioned, “But Nothing feels better than seeing one’s Vision being realized.” Such words mark his dedication and the vision he had for the country which now is turning into reality, is taking the country towards new heights.

Not only this, he also emphasized on the times when the Sugar Industry of the country had the closure and the government was thinking of every possible way connected to diversifying the economy

“After the closure of the sugar industry in 2005, we set out as a Government to diversify the economy to one of the hospitality services and St Kitts and Nevis was one of the last few islands if not the last to become a Tourism Destination, but today we’re punching way above our weight,” mentioned the Minister Douglas.

This explains the rapid rate at which St Kitts and Nevis is progressing towards its growth and development.

The Icon of the Seas docked in the country on January 30, which is no less than an achievement. Such a major milestone was celebrated extensively in the country and was referred to as Kittitian Vibes.

The day had all the fun revealing the local culture of the country through cuisines, rhythmic beats and cultural displays.
