India to supply COVID vaccines to Latin American and Caribbean region
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed that India is all set to supply the COVID-19 vaccines to the region of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Delhi, India: Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed that India is all set to supply the COVID-19 vaccines to the region of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Minister Mandaviya added that the Indian government would soon supply Covishield and Covaxin.
Covishield is the Oxford Astrazeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine, which is being manufactured in India, and Covaxin is produced by an Indian Pharma company.
The health minister noted, “India was able to combat Covid-19 under a ‘whole government’ approach, where provincial and local governance provided a foundation for the efforts of the Government of India”.
“India is driven by the philosophy of – ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’, which has motivated us to provide Covid-19 vaccines, hydroxychloroquine and other medical requirements to all our friends. Furthermore, India is willing to supply Covishield and Covaxin to all present countries,” following the statement he added.
He further added that the mutual recognition of the COVID vaccines raises the travel light for tourism & business, thereby strengthening the economic recovery, which at the current time this world needs.
The Union Health Minister stated, “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s health care is witnessing a revolutionary transformation that its friends can adopt”.
He further highlighted that over 70 million teleconsultations were recorded in eSanjeevani – India’s flagship telemedicine portal on possible convergence areas.
The Indian government has earlier also supplied COVID-19 vaccines to the nations in the Caribbean and Latin American region, helping them in their response against the COVID virus.
