New Delhi, India: India will grow in the production world, according to Klemens Rethmann, CEO of the German-based Rethmann company, who also noted that it is an “honour to employ those resources.” German CEOs met with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Saturday to discuss the new potential for German companies to increase commercial and educational opportunities in India as part of the “Make in India” campaign.
“The workforce is right here. Germany, therefore, has a labour shortage. You have much capital, expert labour, and bright young individuals who want to get involved. The ability to use those resources is a privilege. Hence, PM Modi requested that we produce in India, but for us, this wasn’t just because of his request; it was also because of the resources and opportunities available here,” Rethmann told ANI. On India’s manufacturing output, Rethmann predicted that “India will expand and become more significant in the production world. It is our pleasure to be a part of the Indian market and to have the chance to expand together with it.”
He also spoke of his 2019 trip, during which he travelled with former German Chancellor Angela Dorothea Merkel, and claimed that ever since, even during the Covid-19 era, he had seen India undergo incredible growth. Rethmann said that PM Modi kept every promise he made four years ago. “And for us, it’s a privilege to be here, support the Indian economy, and expand the market’s potential on a global scale. And we carry out this. As a logistics-focused organisation, we offer services for everything that helps businesses and investments,” he added.
“You must adapt to the culture of India since it is a different nation from your own, and we cannot simply come here and demand that the wonderful people of India behave in a certain way. Also, we are able to make investments in this industry with the help of our Indian partner,” he said. Rethmann continued, “We are able to profit from the market and expand here.” Leaders of German companies travelled to India on Saturday with Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
Post this meet, PM Modi remarked, “In order to examine ways to improve economic ties between our countries, Chancellor @OlafScholz and I met with leading CEOs. Finance, IT, telecom, and digital transformation were all heavily represented during the gathering.”
