Guyana Amazon Warriors reaches CPL semis, to face St Kitts and Nevis Patriots
By registering a second consecutive win over the Jamaica Tallawahs with 14 runs, the Guyana Amazon Warriors made their place in the semi-finale of Caribbean Premiere League – CPL 2021, which is being conducted in St Kitts and Nevis.

                                                    Guyana: By registering a second consecutive win over the Jamaica Tallawahs with 14 runs, the Guyana Amazon Warriors made their place in the semi-finale of Caribbean Premiere League – CPL 2021, which is being conducted in St Kitts and Nevis.
This is actually a big win for the warriors. Fans are now eager to look at whether they can confirm their place in the finale and be the champions this year.
In their last match with the Tallawahs, the Warriors won the toss and chose to do bat first, making a score of 142 at the loss of 7 wickets in 18 overs, while Tallawahs only managed to score 128 at the loss of 10 wickets in just 17.1 overs.
With this, the Guyana Amazon Warriors will face St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the second semi-final of the 2021 season. The match will be held on Wednesday, 15 September 2021, in Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts.
If we look back in history, the Warriors have played five finals and also finished third two separate times.
The previous season, they lost to St Lucia Zouks (now known as Kings) by ten wickets after getting bowled out for – 55 in the semis. With this, once again, they are in the mix again, chasing the fugitive title.
The Nicholas Pooran-led team finished second in the league table with 12 points (registering 6 wins and 4 defeats), while the top spot has been booked by the Trinbago Knight Riders.
