The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) have reported two separate missing persons cases involving two teenage boys both aged 16 years. The authorities are seeking help and support from the public to find the boys.
Davenell Celestine, 16, a student of Carenage, St George, who was reported missing is approximately five feet eight inches in height, medium built and dark brown in complexion with black hair.
The other case involves Marvon Mapson, 16, a student of Westerhall, St David. He is approximately five feet three inches in height, and is described as having bold eyes, is slim built and brown in complexion with short black hair.
Davenell has not been seen since he left his residence on Sunday, September 3rd 2023. The same applies to Marvon Mapson as well.
The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) has provided the following lines for anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of the two boys: Grenville Police Station – 442 7224; St David Police Station – 444 6224; Central Police Station – 440 2244; Police Emergency – 911; Police Hotline – 444 1958 or the nearest police station.
According to initial reports, the Police have stated that there is no reason to believe that these incidents are related. Having said that though, there is a possibility of a wider conspiracy being afoot since the date, ages of the boys and the way they went missing are quite similar.
Despite the efforts of the police and the community, the authorities are having a hard time collecting tangible leads and details regarding either case due to a lack of witnesses.
No further details are known about what happened to the boys after they left their residences. It is yet to be seen whether there is a criminal angle to the cases or if the cases take a different trajectory altogether.
The community has put it’s hopes in the authorities who have assured the families that every possible step will be taken to locate and recover the missing boys. Yet the lack of updates in this regard has been quite alarming. For those waiting with bated breathes to see the outcome of these investigations, it might be a long wait indeed.
