Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has been disappointed with the performance of the Jamaican Men’s sprinting after he had taken his retirement. The fastest man alive, Usain Bolt, also said that athletes from his nation would be facing many difficulties at the Tokyo Olympics after his glorious domination over the last decade.
Usain Bolt said that during his career, all nine men’s track finals had been won by Jamaica, whether it was Beijing, London and Rio. In 2008 relay gold medals was lost after Nesta Carter was declared a failure in the drug test. Usain Bolt said that this is heartbreaking to see the country fall behind in the sprinting world.
Usain Bolt said that he felt like Jamaica had a good crop of (male) athletes for the last couple of Olympics, but now that tensed him, it really bothers him to know that where they have been right now, where most of the world is ahead of them. Going into the men’s, it would be going to be tough. He was just disappointed because he thought that they also have the talent. They are few steps far due to lack of just to harvest it and people to take the training seriously and get it done.
The Tokyo Olympics begin this Friday. Usain Bolt confidently said that the Jamaican women would be the ones to score most of the medals for Jamaica’s nationals. Usain Bolt said that he has also been confident that Jamaican Tajay Gayle, the current world Champion in the Long Jump, would bag a gold medal this time.
Olympic village in Tokyo had been reported with a positive COVID-19 case in the camp. On Saturday, Tokyo Olympic organizers stated. Officials said it was not an athlete that has been tested positive.
Regarding the COVID-19 case, the officials, including Seiko Hashimoto, the president of the organizing committee, said that the case was reported on Friday after the test report. The officials do not give further information due to confidential issues.
