Dominica: Parl Rep Melissa Skerrit shares experience after visiting various Summer Camps

Dominica: Parliamentary Representative of the Roseau Central Melissa Poponne-Skerrit recently participated in various camps for children and students of the Commonwealth of Dominica. Melissa Skerrit joined the children at the Roseau Central Summer Safari Adventure Summer School and expressed gratitude to the organisers for such a successful hosting of the Summer Camp.
Melissa-Skerrit took social media and shared her experience with the people of her constituency and country. The post by Skerrit read, “The Roseau Central Summer Safari Adventure Summer School proved to be quite an exhilarating journey! The children were immersed in three packed weeks of self-expression through art, dance and creative writing. It was a pleasure to be part of such an amazing learning experience.”
The Summer Safari Adventure Summer School was organised from July 11 to July 29, 2022, at the Windsor Park Stadium. The children between the age of 5-12 were welcomed to participate in the activities such as storytelling, drama, fun games, animal face painting, movies, boxing, tennis, music and dance, fun Fridays – treasure hunt, water fun day, baking, truck building, kite making and many more.
Melissa Skerrit also shared an update on Roseau Central Math Summer Boot Camp. She asserted, “My whiz kids got 99 math problems, but finding solutions was definitely not one! The Roseau Central Math Summer Boot Camp proved to be an exciting two-week journey filled with learning drills. Our Math program ended on a thrilling note with a fun-filled pool day where all attendees received their special tokens. Congrats to all the attendees who surely mastered this program.”
Furthermore, she expressed special thanks to dedicated tutors Denise JnoBaptiste, Cathy Robinson and Blessing Jno Baptiste.
