Dominica marked the grand opening ceremony of the World Creole Music Festival on Friday, 25th October, 2024, providing an ultimate musical and electrifying experience to all the attendees.
The night kicked off with several artists gracing the island nation and lighting up the ambiance of the Windsor Park Stadium with their remarkable performances. The Night One of Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival 2024 was graced by several internationally renowned artists, providing an unforgettable experience for all the attendees.
The night began with the captivating sounds of Ecstasy Band from Dominica followed by the infectious rhythms of T-Vice from Haiti. Along with that, the attendees also got an opportunity to enjoy the reggae infused melodies of Valiant from Jamaica and the Nigerian American charismatic performer, Rotimi.
Nadia Batson from Trinidad and Tobago also brought the vibrant soca vibes on the stage, made the attendees grooved to their tunes. These internationally renowned artists, known for their unique blend of musical performances, set against Dominica’s stunning tropical backdrop with their magical performances.
World Creole Music Festival has become a renowned staple on the regional music gala calendar, creating a world-class platform for Indigenous Dominican Music. The first night of the highly-anticipated World Creole Music Festival welcomed a large number of travellers and immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the island nation.
The authorities are looking forward to attract more travellers to the country, aiming to surpass all their previous records by offering them with one of the best lineups to date.
The Night 2 of the World Creole Music Festival’s studded lineup includes, Ridge, Asa Bantan, Kassav, Damian and Stephen Marley, Umpa and Subance and Wizkid. Meanwhile, the Night 3 of the World Creole Music Festival 2024 will feature several globally recognized artists including, Midnight Groovers, Kai, Signal Band, Fanny, Skinny Fabulous, Voice, Tian Winter, Grams Morgan and Friends, Luciano and Duane Stevenson.

The citizens of Dominica dressed up in their cultural clothing and walked on the streets of the country in order to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the island nation.
The citizens of the island nation draped in the colours of their ancestors, danced to the rhythms of their roots, celebrating Creole Day.
Notably, Creole Day is known as one of the highlighting festivities of the Independence Season of Dominica. This day is annually celebrated on the last Friday in October, encouraging citizens to don in traditional wear to celebrate their Independence.

The Nature Isle will celebrate its 46th anniversary of Independence on 3rd November, 2024. From Kalinago Week to World Creole Music Festival and Heritage Day, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, stated the Division of Culture of Dominica.
The authorities have urged the citizens to embrace of the rhythms of Kweyol culture and immerse themselves in the vibrant festivities of the country.
