At the times of carnival in the country, the special showcase of their outfits in the parades plays a great role in entertaining and spreading the magic of fun and joy in the country. Also, this reveals the vibrant culture of the country.

Considerably, Bwa Bwa was formed in 1995 to continue the West African tradition of Srilt walking during the annual Carnival celebration. These traditions also feature their uniqueness at other times of the year, such as Independence Day, the World Creole Music Festival, Christmas, or Cruise Ship ceremonies.

Bwa Bwa Crew also has an official name, Dominica Afrikulture Stilt Walkers. In recent times, this group is one of the largest groups in Dominica. And the boys and girls start this from the age of five years, even practising at the Botanical Gardens in Roseau on a weekly basis.

The aim of this group is to make a difference and impression at every occasion that they participate and seek to preserve one of the many cultural art forms of Dominica.
