COVID in Trinidad and Tobago: 881 fresh cases recorded with 17 deaths

Trinidad and Tobago: A total of 881 fresh COVID-19 cases have been recorded on December 8, 2021, along with 17 additional deaths, the data in the COVID-19 update report states by the Ministry of Health.
With the arrival of these fresh cases, the toll of active cases rose to 13,231 while the current death toll stands at 2,320. As per the report, till December 8, 2021, in total, 61,931 individuals recovered from the contagious mutant, whereas 516 patients are still in the hospital facilities.
Around 135 individuals are in the step-down facilities, 99 in the state-quarantine facilities, and 11,699 citizens have isolated themselves at their respective residences.
Since the emergence of the pandemic in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 77,482 confirmed cases have been recorded, as per the data shared in the health ministry’s report.
Till now, 467,729 COVID-19 tests have been conducted at both private and public facilities, out of which 203,255 tests were conducted at private healthcare facilities.
COVID-19 vaccination data of Trinidad and Tobago:
According to the statistics, there are a total of 650,888 citizens who are vaccinated by taking atleast one dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine. On the other hand, in total, 651,135 residents have received their required number of the COVID-19 jabs and are now fully inoculated against the deadliest virus.
The Ministry of Health further asked the citizens to take their jabs of the COVID-19 Vaccine and strictly follow the COVID-19 health protocols that have been established by the government of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Caribbean island is observing a continuous massive increase in the daily COVID-19 infections, to which the government has stringent measures.
