Caribbean Airlines announces relief flights for international travellers
These flights were cancelled to/from Trinidad, Antigua, St Kitts and St. Maarten due to adverse weather expected on these island nations.

The Caribbean Airlines is all set to operate relief flights for ticketed and confirmed passengers who were displaced due to cancellations of flight services on Tuesday, 13th August 2024. These flights were cancelled to/from Trinidad, Antigua, St Kitts and St. Maarten due to adverse weather expected on these island nations.
Now that the warning for Tropical Storm Ernesto has been discontinued from these areas, Caribbean Airlines has shared the schedule for the relief flights. As per the details shared by the CaL, the relief flights will operate on Thursday, 15th August and Friday 16th August 2024.
For Thursday, two flights have been announced to operate via the route between Trinidad and Antigua in order to accommodate the affected people. Firstly, the services will be provided by flight BW 3280, which will fly from Trinidad to Antigua with a departure time of 1:50 pm. Meanwhile, the return flight from Antigua to Trinidad will be provided by flight BW 3281 with a departure time of 4:45 pm.
Caribbean Airlines will operate two flights on Friday as well, using different routes, offering services to the affected passengers from the cancellation of flight services. The first flight BW 3417 will depart from Jamaica to St. Maarten at 7:00 am. From there, it will leave at 11:50 am for Barbados and finally, it will take off from there at 2:00 pm to reach its final destination, Trinidad.
On the other hand, the Airline will also operate during evening time with flight, BW 3416 on its another route. The flight BW 3416 will offer its services to the route traversing between Trinidad, St. Maarten and Jamaica. Firstly, the flight will depart from Trinidad for St Maarten at 4:15 pm. Following that, the flight will fly from St. Maarten at 6:50 pm, arriving at its final destination, Jamaica.
During the announcement of the cancellation of the flight services, the authorities of the Caribbean Airlines promised to re-accommodate the affected passengers on the next available services. And, fulfilling that, the authorities have stated that passengers whose plans were impacted by these flight disruptions can rebook without any change in fees.
However, those citizens will have to follow certain conditions. It includes that the waiver of all fees for tickets to be rebooked in the same cabin. On the other hand, the passengers can rebook their flight on any service with no penalty but only up to 14th September 2024. And, all the changes must be made through Caribbean Airlines Call Centre or at a Caribbean Airlines Ticket Office.
