Belize: The cruise season 2024-2025 officially kicked off in Belize with the arrival of the Sun Princess, a member of the Princess Cruises Line. It marked the vessel’s inaugural arrival to the island on October 29, 2024.

As the ship arrived for its maiden call, a ceremonial exchange took place aboard the cruise where Lloyd Enriquez, the Director of Cruise and Capacity Development of Belize, presented an official plaque to Captain Paolo Arrigo to welcome the cruise with warm greetings and to appreciate the cruise’s captain for arriving.

According to the information, the Sun Princess arrived in Belize with a total of 3826 passengers and showed the island’s increasing prominence as a sought after destination in the Caribbean cruise industry.

The significant event also underscored the ongoing commitment of the island nation to expanding the tourism sector and offering the passengers  unforgettable experiences while supporting the local economy.

The arrival of the Sun Princess showcases not only a milestone for the cruise tourism in Belize but also highlights the efforts of the country to boost its reputation as a world class destination that is set to provide the visitors with rich cultural experiences and natural wonders.
